Coordinate to Keep it Together

Color code your classes with matching folders, binders, & notebooks. Colby Sustainable Moose 2-Pocket Portfolio Folder, Colby Seal 2-Pocket Portfolio Folder, and Colby Seal 3-Ring Binder!

Wish you could climb to Colby's Blue Light?

Your ring can, as part of our ring ceremony! Colby's ring ceremony has your ring visit the blue light and spend the night in the library tower.

Your class ring is made just for you. It is the tangible symbol of your link to almost two centuries of Colby gradudates who have preceeded you in the Colby experience. Order on-line or during Class Ring Days in February!

Important Notes on Fall 2016 Textbooks

The Bookstore works closely with faculty to ensure that we have all the right books and editions for your classes. Despite that, textbook information can change at any time, and for many reasons, including faculty changes, class cancellations, newly available books, or syllabi changes. Any purchase made with other vendors based on this site's information is made at the purchaser's risk and is not guaranteed by Colby.

If we are sold out of a course material in the format you chose, we will substitute with the closest available option. Your cost may changed based on this substitution. Your book is returnable through the end of the returns period.

Faculty members have indicated that some books for your courses are required, some optional, and some suggested. These decisions are at the faculty member's discretion, but generally required books are the central books for a course, and optional books are usually ancillary materials like study and solution manuals. Books that are required for a course are listed with an R on the line below the title, optional books have an O, and suggested items an S.

The last day to return Fall 2016 textbooks is Saturday, September 17, 2016 You will need your receipt. Books must be in the same condition in which they were purchased. This means new books can not be written in, access codes must be unused, etc.

Rental books are available for some Fall 2016 classes. Rentals books appear as a Choice. Choose to rent or buy.

Used books are the most popular with Colby students, and we are extremely aggressive about getting as many used copies as possible. Typically we have about 60% used books, and 40% new books and coursepacks each semester. There are some books we've found it makes sense to sell only new, e.g. consumable books like workbooks where students at many campuses are required to fill out, tear out, and turn in pages. Unlike some used book sellers, we won't sell you a book that is missing pages, is the wrong edition, or has been damaged by liquids. When the professor asks you to turn to page 27 to read an article, you'll be reading the right one.

Colby Students & Parents: Please use student name and class year (e.g. Mary Low '17 or Elijah P. Lovejoy '16) in the shipping address field even if a parent will be picking up the books. Orders are held by student name and class year.

Due to environmental and timing concerns we do not ship textbook orders. They are held for In Store Pick Up. Please bring your ID when you come to pick-up your books.
