The John Marin Collection
The Colby College Museum of Art is fortunate enough to have a collection of renowned artist
John Marin's best work. The collection, one of the most comprehensive and renowned in the country,
is the brain child of John Marin Jr. and Norma B. Marin, who were determined to give a retrospective
collection of Marin's work to an academic museum in Maine, the state he so loved. Now you can enjoy
the works, from etchings to oil to watercolor, in a beautiful book from Colby College,
The John Marin Collection at the Colby College Museum of Art.
